On February 1st 2012, a MOU was signed between the President of SAHTECH, Dr. Jung-Pin Yu, and Vice President of JEMAI, Dr. Hiroshi Yokoyama. The Japan Environmental Management Association for Industry (日本社団法人産業環境管理協会) was founded in 1962 to address industrial environmental protection related issues.  To provide solutions to the increasingly diversified and complicated environmental issues and challenges that  governments, private sectors, consumers and professionals are facing,  JEMAI has expanded activities in addressing global environmental issues, carbon footprint, waste problem, and chemical substances management since 1993.   List as one of the information system and tool under REACH Guidance, JAMP has been widely adopted by manufacturers all over the world.  This MOU supports the mutual objectives of both JEMAI and SAHTECH to enhance smooth transfer of information on substances in articles within supply chains and across sectors.
Through this cooperation, SAHTECH and JEMAI will strive to engage stakeholders in lifecycle safe chemical use by implementing sound chemical management system.
