SAHTECH Becomes Taiwan’s First CEPN Qualified Trainer(2025/10/02)

The Safety and Health Technology Center (SAHTECH) has officially been recognized as the first CEPN (Clean Electronics Production Network) Qualified Trainer in Taiwan. With this certification, SAHTECH is now able to provide CEPN’s Chemical Safety Training and support electronics brands and suppliers in becoming CEPN-recognized facilities.

CEPN, launched in 2016 by the U.S. Green America, is a global initiative that brings together companies and organizations to tackle occupational health and safety challenges in the electronics industry. More than 20 leading corporations—including Apple, HP, Dell, Amazon, and Cisco—have joined CEPN, which aims to achieve high hazard chemicals “Toward Zero Exposure” for workers in electronics manufacturing while building a healthier and more sustainable industry.

The CEPN training program is closely aligned with the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct and tailored to meet Taiwan’s occupational safety and health regulations, as weel as cooperative ESG initiatives. The courses are designed for both workers and managers, covering topics such as chemical safety, chemical hazards and exposures, control measures and emergency responses, hazard communication and participation in a sound chemical management. Multilingual training materials and practical guides are also provided to help companies strengthen compliance across their supply chains.

In addition to our recent work with CEPN, SAHTECH already supports companies in evaluating chemical safety and identifying safer alternatives with the GreenScreen® method. With the new CEPN Qualified Trainer certification, SAHTECH further enhances its ability to help businesses choose safer chemicals and move toward a more resilient and sustainable future together.
