SAHTECH and Korea KITECH Sign MoU for Chemical Management Cooperation(2016/04/29)

SAHTECH and Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, KITECH have signed a MoU to facilitate bilateral exchange and cooperation on international chemical management. By entering into a partnership, two parties created good momentum to extend their support to SMEs, facilitate testing capacity and foster green chemistry.

The practice and experience of KITECH, as a bridge between the government and industry set a benchmark for stakeholder communication. Supervised jointly by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, MOTIE, the Ministry of Environment, MOE and the Ministry of Employment and Labor, MOEL, KITECH implemented business support program. With government resources efforts were made to increasing SMEs compliance and strengthen competitiveness of domestic industry. IT tools developed by KITECH directly benefited Korean SMEs and consulting firms on supply chain communication and regulatory compliance. KITECH’s experience of forming an alliance with the government and private sectors that secured business interests and competitiveness became a good benchmark for Taiwan. 

This MoU articulates the common goals of SAHTECH and KITECH. Further cooperation shall focus on the chemical policy system of two countries, as well as important issues, such as green chemistry and capacity building. Two parties look forward to closer technical cooperation and experience exchange, which furthers sound chemical management and promotes mutual business interest.
